About This Project

Problem: Traditional history lessons can feel passive and disengaging for younger learners, making it difficult for students to retain key information about ancient civilizations like the Maya.

Solution: Developed a gamified escape room experience where students must solve puzzles and challenges based on Mayan history to “escape,” encouraging active participation and deeper learning. 

What I Did:
✔ Designed learning objectives aligned with K–12 comprehension levels
✔ Created a game-based learning structure (challenge → clue → solution → progression)
✔ Developed interactive puzzles tied to historical concepts
✔ Applied storytelling to create an immersive experience
✔ Built interactive navigation and feedback within Genially
✔ Designed visuals to support engagement and understanding
